Snow Emergency In Effect

11am, Tuesday, January 22nd through 11am, Wednesday, January 23rd

 

The National Weather Service forecast indicates the area is expected to receive a mixed bag of precipitation today, Tuesday, January 22nd. Based on predicted conditions a Snow Emergency has been declared. The Snow Emergency will be in effect beginning at 11am, today, Tuesday, January 22nd through 11 am, Wednesday, January 23rd. Parking on Posted Snow Routes is prohibited when a Snow Emergency is in effect.

 

With up to a tenth of an inch of ice, along with three or more inches of snow, up to a half inch of rain, and sleet possible, expect slick road conditions throughout the day and into Wednesday, January 23rd. Do not expect to drive as you would under normal weather conditions. Drive with caution, give yourself a little extra time and increase your following distance.

 

As an alternative to on-street parking in the Downtown, residents and visitors to the area may park for free in any one of the City’s three parking ramps between 11 am today, Tuesday, January 22nd through 5 pm, Wednesday, January 23rd.
