Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is expected to miss Tuesday's (July 22) game against the New York Liberty at Barclays Center as she continues to recover from a right groin injury.

Clark, 23, is scheduled to undergo additional testing this week and will likely be inactive for a second consecutive game after suffering the injury against the Connecticut Sun last week. Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters that the team hopes to have "more of a clear line of what [that path forward] looks like" on Sunday (July 20) via the New York Post.

“I think she’s progressing,” White added. “I think that we’re continuing to address everything that needs to be addressed … I don’t expect her to be available on Tuesday, so we’re just going to continue to take it one day at a time and let her get her evaluations early this week.”

Clark, who was selected as an All-Star during each of her first two seasons, sat out of the Fever's loss to the Liberty last Wednesday (July 16) and the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game due to her third injury in four months. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year is averaging 16.2 points, 8.8 assists and five rebounds per game in 13 total appearances during the 2025 WNBA season.
