JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively support and further the mission of The Arc of the Quad Cities Area:

• Responsible for all aspects of supervision including training, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, and disciplining.

• Responsible for the timely and accurate calculation, processing, posting as appropriate, and submission of employee time records and payroll records for the agency's bi-weekly payroll process.

• Responsible for the timely and accurate calculation, processing, and submission of all purchase orders per the agency's purchase order procedures and practices.

• Responsible for the timely and accurate calculation, processing, and submission of all client attendance records and billing records per the agency's record and billing procedures and practices.

• Ensure all classroom training and OJT is completed in designated timeframes. Provide OJT and in-service training to staff as required. Provide timely evaluations of staff performance.

• Responsible for total operation of designated site/area as assigned. Ensure site is clean, orderly, and pleasant.

• Develop, coordinate, and ensure implementation of individualized training for assigned individuals. Provide personal care, health care, and training to individuals as necessary; ensure safety and well-being of individuals at all times.

• Ensure program compliance with regulatory standards and funding requirements.

• Complete reports and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, on time and accessible to director of the program. Ensure IHP services are in place and individual assessments are completed.

• Actively participate in staff meetings, committees, and classroom training as assigned. Attend individual-related meetings.

• Represent the agency in a professional manner within the community. Maintain necessary contact with parents/guardians/family members of individuals. Communicate effectively with individuals, agency personnel, customers and others.

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment, ensuring the highest safety standards available, correcting any deficiencies immediately. Maintain agency property/equipment. Request supplies as necessary. Maintain use of good body mechanics, universal precautions, and personal protective equipment as necessary.

• Drive agency and/or personal vehicle for outings, errands, and as otherwise required.

• Monitor usage of monthly monies (house/individual/petty cash, etc.); ensure proper completion of assigned paperwork.

• Provide at a minimum 14 hours of direct care per week.

• Ensure adequate staff coverage of homes, obtaining replacement staff as necessary. Work evening and week-end hours as necessary to fill-in for staff vacancies and absences.

• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage by carrying a cell phone as assigned. Must live with cell phone range.

• Ensure completion of individual file reviews and the maintenance of all assigned documentation including, but not limited to, monthly reports, state reporting, individual data books, and financial folders.

• Coordinate individual outings and vehicle use.

• Conduct disaster drills monthly per assigned shift(s).

• Perform health care-related duties; monitor individual health care status, providing pertinent information to nurse/doctor or other health care professionals; perform medication administration; transportation to medical appointments, etc.

• Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS or BA preferred (not required). Experience and/or major field of study in human services field preferred (not required).

• Valid driver's license in good standing and vehicle with appropriate auto insurance required. Must be approved by Agency's Auto insurance carrier for driving agency vehicles.

• Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to assist in the lifting and transferring of individuals weighing more than 100 lbs.

• Ability to kneel on the floor, bend at the waist and knees, go from standing to the floor while assisting an individual who may be falling, or get into any position that may be required to provide individual related care.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the program’s needs.

• Ability to stand/work on feet for 90% or more of the scheduled shift.

• Ability to sit periodically throughout the shift to complete required documentation; Sitting may be required for less than 5% of the scheduled shift.

• One-year direct service in human services field required. One-year supervisory experience preferred.

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications preferred (not required). Ability and willingness to learn computer applications as they may become required for documentation. Computation skills required.

Arc of Iowa has an opening for a Vending Clerk. This is an 8-10hr/week position. The initial scheduled hours vary but are Monday-Friday, Flex as needed. • Provide back-up support for assigned CILA home(s) on an as needed basis.

• Ensure all clinical records and files are maintained for each individual in compliance as required by regulatory agencies as well as agency policy and procedures.

• Be willing to provide 24-hour on-call coverage for Residential Alternatives by carrying a cell phone if assigned. Must live within cell phone range. In the future, the position may supervise a CILA home.

• Attend meetings, training sessions and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Education: BA in Human Services from an accredited college or QIDP qualifications. Driving: Valid driver's license in good standing and appropriate auto insurance required. JOB FUNCTION: Maintain the physical plants, grounds and equipment. Ensure vehicles are clean, safe and operational order. SUPERVISES: None REPORTS TO: Director of Property Operations LOCATION: Varied as Assigned SHIFT: 8:00 - 3:30 Monday - Friday, flexible as needed

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform varied carpentry, plumbing, general mechanical, and minor electrical repair and maintenance work as described on work orders for all agency sites, equipment and vehicles. Assist with landscaping and snow removal as required.

• Assist with upkeep of the entire fleet of agency vehicles. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks, coordinate repair & maintenance, record all service, ensure properly equipped with (insurance card, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.).

• Coordinate preventative maintenance program and schedule. Complete the preventive and routine maintenance of boiler/air-conditioning systems on a monthly basis, annual sprinkler inspections, and other routine maintenance required by manufacturer suggested maintenance or regulation.

• Construct or adapt equipment for individual or agency use. Build appropriate fixtures and assist in the set-up of various contracts.

• Be available to assist in 24-hour maintenance as necessary, including snow removal at Arc sites, ensuring that all sites are cleared of snow during operating hours.

• Lift and move heavy objects such as desks, refrigerators, stoves, boxes, etc. as necessary.

• Coordinate maintenance department activities in the absence of the Director of Property Operations. A. Compute and submit payroll. B. Schedule and prioritize repair work.

• Provide support and expertise for all agency maintenance needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, ability to fix appliances and vehicles, plumbing, electric, and light carpentry knowledge.

• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently; follow directions, and work well with others. • Availability to respond to maintenance needs on a 24-hour basis.

• 4 years-experience in maintenance work and in light industry required.
